Molly_StockleyWhile she’s been making an impact in the marketing and media world for quite awhile, Molly Stockley is a relative newcomer to the West Valley who has quickly had a positive and lasting effect on many people since becoming a local resident three years ago. As Director of Marketing for Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) at Western Regional Medical Center in Goodyear, Molly promotes the benefits and services of the hospital while raising cancer awareness. “I had a chance encounter with the Chief Marketing Officer at CTCA, and after learning the focus and mission of the organization, it seemed like this was my destiny,” said Molly. In addition to educating and getting the word out about fighting cancer, she is involved with the heavy lifting of raising money. Along with her husband Robert, she co-chaired the American Cancer Society Jewel Ball held in Paradise Valley in March. Molly also donates her time as a Board member for Arizona Assistance in Health Care – a non-profit organization she helped launch which raises funds to support cancer patients and their families. Molly was touched by cancer when melanoma took the life of a close friend in 2006.  In her memory, Molly and her husband established Kristi Cares, The Kristina A. Stockley Melanoma Foundation. Additionally, she is a member of the current Leadership West class and, with her group, is launching the “Learn Don’t Burn” sun safety campaign. Molly’s background includes a wide-range of experiences related to communications and marketing. Prior to joining CTCA, she worked for Belo Corporation, a large media company, with whom she served as a sales promotion manager and a marketing executive for several television stations.  Molly also worked in the marketing department of the Anaheim Angels, and was a sports reporter and anchor in Lousiana, Oklahoma, and Washington. Always included in the message of this talented marketing professional is the allure and charm of her relatively new home, the West Valley. To that end, she co-chaired last month’s West Valley Arts Council Diamond Ball at the Wigwam.  “When I promote the hospital, I always educate people on our location in Goodyear. I talk about the two mountain views, the ball parks, the shopping, local restaurants and the friendly people,” says Molly.  “Promote the West Valley!”
