West Valley Residents Reach Out In A Big Way

FRESH COAT OF CARE
In late December, members of the West Valley’s Biggest Loser program teamed up with staff from West Valley Magazine to help remodel the accomodations of a women’s shelter that assists victims of domestic violence.
With paint brushes and screw drivers in hand, the volunteers spent close to 5 hours remodeling two of the shelter’s villas while the residents were away.
Once the grunt work was complete more volunteers arrived and, with donated items ranging from television sets to children’s story books to bedding sets, they decorated and set up the newly painted and cleaned rooms for those needing them.
A great deal of time and care went into the gesture and special thanks are due to Double O Paint and Wal-Mart for their kind donations and to the friends and family of WVBL and WV Magazine who helped out!
