Bella Amie – A Sweetheart of a Boutique
Posted on 04. Mar, 2010 by Karen in Fashion
What do you get when you combine hip and unique women’s apparel and jewelry, cool clubbing clothes for guys, and original, well priced home décor items all in one space? Bella Amie Boutique, of course!
This trendy one stop shop for fun fashion is the “new kid on the block” at the The Shops at Norterra located off of I-17 and Happy Valley Road. Bella Amie opened their doors for business on December 24th of 2009, so they were not able to take full advantage of the holiday rush. However, owners Heather and Jeremy Donathan were still pleased with the customer response and their brisk sales on the boutique’s first official day.
Bella Amie, an Italian and French expression which means “beautiful friends”, has an appealing Tuscan influenced décor with stone accents, bronze and crystal chandeliers and dark velvet drapes in the dressing room space. The apparel choices are a great mix of handpicked designers such as Velvet, Ella Moss, Young Fabulous & Broke, Pink Polk-a-dot, and moderately priced labels such as Live with Love, which features a high-end, boutique appeal without the high-end price tag. The great selection of Michael Star tees are one of the boutique’s best sellers because of the fabulous fit and versatility, at an affordable price. Another customer favorite is the ample selection of designer jeans such as True Religion, 7 for all mankind, Antiq Denim, Joe’s Jeans, We the People, and Heather’s personal favorite, Hudson jeans. Co-owner Jeremy Donathan made sure to include a tempting street chic collection for guys, including labels such as MEK jeans, Roar and Affliction. Apart from the apparel, they also present home décor items including unique frames, wine tubs and wine toppers and some charming gift items that are custom made by local artists. Speaking of local designers, Heather Donathan stocks her signature clothing line Heatherville in the shop. Her unique T-shirt and hat line are embellished with Swarovski crystals and feature one-of-a- kind graphic designs.
The value of shopping in a smaller, individually owned boutique like Bella Amie is derived from the outstanding customer service you can count on receiving. Heather, or one of her dedicated employees, is excited to help clientele walk out of the boutique completely satisfied with their shopping experience. “We strive to assist our customers in finding the perfect piece that fits their personality and taste”, says Donathan. “We want this to be a great little neighborhood boutique with regular customers who trust in our experience and knowledge of fashion.”
