IMS Arizona Marathon to close or restrict Glendale streets

Glendale police will close or restrict several streets to accommodate runners participating in the IMS Marathon on Sunday Feb. 14 around the sports and entertainment district.
The closures will take place between 6:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
Roadway restrictions include:
• 99th Avenue will be closed to all traffic between Maryland and Glendale avenues.
• South of Maryland Avenue to Camelback Road, 99th Avenue will be restricted to one lane southbound.
• Westbound Maryland Avenue will be closed between 95th and 99th avenues.
• 95th Avenue between Maryland Avenue and Coyotes Boulevard will be closed to all traffic except vehicles going to or from the Hampton Inn.
Police will direct traffic to establish a safe and steady flow, and drivers are encouraged to follow traffic signs for direction.
